Your brand is a house.

A very cosy brand…

People will visit you if it seems fun (Marketing), but they’ll only stay if your house works properly (Brand strategy)! Here are two pretty fundamental questions to check if people will stay the night.

1. Can people navigate properly?

House: Do your doors work the right way? Do you have hallways? Is it clear where each room is and it’s function? Are the cups where the cups should be?

Brand: Are your products, services, and other business bits all properly named and ordered? Is your website (or shop) user-friendly enough for me to wander or intentionally navigate to a section?

2. Is everything clean?

House: Is there an accumulation of dust? Is it dirty or messy? Is it unhygienic?

Brand: Is your website or brand using outdated content? Does the verbal and visual experience of your brand follow a certain logic of consistency or does it randomly change?

It’s that easy.

Brand strategy doesn’t get any more complicated than this. There are other questions and aspects of your brand, sure. But these basics will put you ahead of 90% of companies—Yes, really.
